Veteran driver, Bennie Davis, is back to compete again in 2016. The NC driver, who won the Renegade Racer of the Year award in 2015 in the Southeast Super Trucks Series, brought his popular No. 66 Bucket List Racing Chevrolet to the Winter Meltdown at Greenville-Pickens Speedway.
Davis, a former track champion and winner of many races during his career that spans almost 50 years, missed the Friday practice session due to oil leak issues, but bared the cold temperatures to compete on race day.
The No. 66 Chevy was handling well, and Davis was happy to be back behind the wheel, but had to retire early from the event due to low oil pressure.
The Bucket List Racing Team is a family operation. Davis is usually at the track with only his wife Sue providing assistance. For 2016, however, Davis will have some additional help in the pits. The team will have an announcement regarding new partners for the upcoming season soon.
Davis will return to racing action in the Southeast Super Trucks season opener at Tri-County Motor Speedway on March 26.
